Regular cleansing is often viewed as one of the more tiresome and annoying beauty rules to follow. Throw in the notion of double cleansing—as in, washing your face not once, but twice— it might sound like something close to impossible to achieve. With more products and steps to add to your routine, it is no wonder so many are forgoing the extra step!

With a little bit of motivation, the know how and the right products, double cleansing is the gateway to waking up to skin that is clearer, softer, brighter and more hydrated.

Why Double Cleanse?

Double cleansing is not a new fad trend, in fact it is practice that has been employed for centuries by Japanese and Korean women. Regardless if you have been wearing make-up or not, double-cleansing is important to first remove dirt, impurities and dead skin cells from the skin and then to actually clean the skin itself.

Double cleansing is more than just a matter of using your usual cleanser twice. To really reap the benefits of double-cleansing it is important to use an oil-based formula before your regular face-wash. RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil is 100% pure, Australian Certified Organic, cold pressed and rich in naturally occurring Anti-Ageing Vitamins A and C, bioflavonoids and essential fatty acids.

Use RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil  as your first cleanse and follow up with the RosehipPLUS® Organic Daily Cream Cleanser.

How to Double Cleanse with RosehipPLUS®

Step 1. Place 3 drops of RosehipPLUS® Rosehip Oil onto the palms of clean hands.

Step 2. Massage the oil in-between your hands to warm it up slightly, then massage the oil over your face, eyes and lips in small circular motions moving upwards to help soften and dislodge any make-up, dirt and impurities on the skin.

Step 3. Rub in a small amount of warm water over your skin to emulsify the oil and transform it into a milk like substance. Remove the Rosehip Oil with a warm wash cloth or cotton pad.

Step 4. Once you have removed the bulk of your make-up, move onto your second cleanse using the RosehipPLUS® Organic Daily Cream Cleanser.

Step 5. Take your cleanser and squeeze out a pea-sized amount in the palms of your hands.

Step 6. Apply to your face using gentle circulating movements over the face and neck.

Step 7. Rinse with warm water or use a cotton pad to remove the cleanser from your skin.

The RosehipPLUS®  beauty range is the beauty essential for double cleansing as shown by these rave blogger reviews…

“I love this to use for my first cleanse, for removing makeup. I apply this directly onto dry skin and massage the product in, including the eyes. Then using a muslin cloth with warm water I remove the cleanser and makeup. This RosehipPLUS Cream Cleanser is so effective at removing makeup, doesn’t hurt on the eyes and leaves the skin feeling nourished. Overall I really love this cleanser to remove makeup.”

“If you’ve been wearing a full face of makeup it’s important to first break-up your makeup, especially if you’ve been wearing waterproof products like mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. Oil is the most effective way to do so as it is gentle and can be massaged over the eyes without stinging, you can use a specific cleansing oil, but I actually like to just use a natural organic oil like RosehipPLUS Rosehip Oil (it‘s cold pressed meaning it is one of the purest  oils of its kind).”

– Evangeline Sarney, Make-Up Tips Blog

“I’ve been using this RosehipPLUS Cream Cleanser daily for the past two months and I am totally impressed. I use Rosehip oil nightly before bed at the moment, so this is a great little complimentary addition to my skincare regime. Usually I find cream cleansers to be too weak to remove my excess makeup, but this baby has done a fantastic job in making sure my skin is left looking and feeling clean…Overall, this has become my favourite cleanser.”
